Hi, I’m Ethan.

On this site, I’ll share my experiences with computers and open-source software. For me, the two are inseparable. My grandfather introduced me to this world when he gave me a thrown-together machine running Linux Mint 17.1 MATE edition. I’ll always have a soft spot for its Compiz effects.

I went from the pre-Proton struggle of gaming on Linux, to learning Bash and Vim, to wanting my own mail server. When configuring Postfix proved to be too involved, I began searching for something simpler. This led me to OpenSMTPD, and from there I got hooked on OpenBSD.

I might end up writing more than just about the computer stuff I use. I hope you enjoy my website!
